Pixie Lott Jewellery Icon

By Abigail Collins

Pixie Lott has been making a bit of a stir since blasting into the charts just a few short years ago and wowing audiences both with her genuine singing talent and her undeniably charming appearance. Her looks to begin with carry already a natural cuteness, while her choice of dress and jewellery does wonders in boosting her already pixie-like features and warm personality.

The 20yr old singer has her own sense of style and seems eager to preserve her down to earth attitude by sticking with high-street jewellery and cosmetics. Though occasionally seen with a designer handbag, the young singer favours charm necklaces which she uses to compliment her cute looks, and prefers chic clothes such as frocks, short dresses, or short jeans. This fashionista has a keen sense of what's hot and what's not, which has proven vital to the success of her partnership with designer label Lipsy.

It was at the Ashish 2011 Spring/Summer Fashion Show when Pixie was able to bring her latest Lipsy range to the public, which for the spring has gone with light and airy flower-print frocks and the kind of light and thin jewellery worn by the girl herself. Charm bangles are the favoured jewellery, as are pendants and slender-rope necklaces which boost Pixie's natural beauty without clashing too much with her clothing.

It's not all been smooth sailing, though, as a slightly embarrassing fashion meltdown at the Glam awards last year can attest, but Pixie has generally been consistent with her look and prefers the look over the label. She claims that she would not wear anything she feels uncomfortable in just because it bears a designer label and is known for getting her cosmetics and clothes from high-street stores rather than top name brands. She regularly shares her passion for jewellery with her fans, doling out fashion and cosmetic tips about where to buy and how to apply.

Pixie also claims that she likes British fashion the best, for the individuality it allows in the styles that can be put together as opposed to the groomed look of L.A. girls. Her weakness, she revealed in an interview, is necklaces and large rings. And it is true that the singer is rarely seen without her patterned charm necklaces or large stoned rings to compliment her dress-sense.

More recently, Pixie has made a splash at the Isle of Wight festival sporting a playful blue playsuit replete with the jewellery she so loves. Her advice for festival goers was to use necklaces as hairbands as she sang her bit for the festival, receiving praise for her good performance both musically and for fashion.

Over everything else, Pixie appears to prefer playfulness in preparing a look and would happily put together nice parts and not have to worry about the whole it makes. Not even the weather could distract Pixie from wearing whatever she wanted at the Isle of Wight festival, sticking out the cold rain in her summery clothes to perform for an adulating audience.

All in all, Pixie has certainly done well in jumping the hurdle of 'teenage idol' and stepping into the wider music world and proving her adult credentials there. With her own endorsed brand of designer wear, her own distinct style, legions of fans, cute looks, and a very promising music career ahead of her, Pixie has achieved more than most at her age and seems happy in herself and with her distractions; namely fashion and chic jewellery.
