Easter Date: Where you can go

By Kate Bass

How will you celebrate this year? It's always a toss up between the candy hidden in the house, or the eggs in the yard. How about this year you do both? You cannot fail when combining two of kids' most favorite things in the world: candy, and hide and seek.Easter is a great holiday for children, but once you are older and not interested in the games and activities that you used to enjoy doing, you want to find something else that you can do on Easter that will be fun to you now. This is where the idea of an Easter date comes in perfectly.

There are so many different things that you can do on an Easter date; for example, you could pack up a picnic basket and go have a picnic in the park with your partner, as this is great because it is romantic and it will give you two the chance to have some alone time together, and not only that, but you get to be outdoors as well, and the weather is neither too hot nor too cold at this time of the year.

This year why don't you plan two Easter morning egg hunts. One, of course, with little plastic eggs scattered around the yard that are filled with a wild variety and assortment of colored candies and chocolates. There are many excellent restaurants available, regardless of where you live, and so make sure that you take some time in advance so that you can make reservations if you are planning on going to a very upscale restaurant.

Much like a white elephant gift exchange at Christmas time, this can be a fun way to get the adults in on the Easter morning fun. It may sound rather boring or mundane at first, but really, in the world that we live in today, everything is so speedy and hectic, and so we hardly get the chance to do anything together anymore; this is why something that is seemingly as simple as a walk can be so great. You get the chance to talk and to be outdoors, and so it really can be a great thing.

Discuss with your date what you both would like to do, and you are sure to be able to come to some great conclusions overall, if you just take the necessary time and effort and plan beforehand as much as you possibly can. This year, in addition to the laughter of the children, and the smacking of chocolate filled mouths, bring that parents a little bit closer on this wonderful holiday. Give thanks for that which we have been blessed with, and as always, make sure you eat the ears of that chocolate bunny first, you wouldn't want to break that tradition this Easter morning!
