How To Get The Best Results From Doing The Same Workout As Chris Hemsworth

By Joe Maldonado

There's no doubt that you will be doing some major weight lifting if you are going to be doing the same workout as Chris Hemsworth. Before he could play Thor in the hit movie, he had to put on quite a bit of muscle mass. It goes without saying that you are going to have to eat a lot of protein since you are trying to put on muscle mass. However, it isn't just about the eating. You are also going to have to learn how to get the most out of your weight training.

Your routine needs to include compound exercises. Basically, just think of the exercises that work more than one muscle group at a time. You can burn more calories when you do exercises like this. Additionally, your muscles will grow more because you will be using more muscle fibers. You can try using squats, leg presses or the chest press. It will be important for you to remember to think about your form during your strength training exercises. If you want your muscles to get worked as much as possible, you have to avoid using momentum to lift the weight.

You have to get rid of the momentum so that you can keep the movements slow, and this way you will be more in control. Concentrate on only allowing the muscle to lift the weight and nothing else. When you go up, count to two. When you come down, count to four. By counting like this you can keep the speed right where it needs to be. You have to take your rest time into consideration. When you are doing a workout that is as intense as the one that Chris Hemsworth does, you will need plenty of time in between workouts to let your muscles recover.

When you are doing your weight training you are breaking down your muscle fibers. But muscles have to get broken down to grow, because the growth happens as a direct result of the recovery process. If you do not allow your muscles to fully recover before you work out again, you will never see their full growth potential. As a general rule, muscle soreness is a sure sign that you should not work out yet. This just means you are not done with the recovery process yet.

Don't ever neglect to do a warm up before your work out. On the other hand, don't go overboard with your sets or you will run the risk of over-training. If you work out for longer than an hour your body will have too much of an increase in cortisol. This could actually cause muscle shrinkage. Nothing good comes out of over-training. You will only end up missing valuable workouts if you get an injury. No one thinks it's going to be easy to get ripped like Chris Hemsworth, but it is possible as long as you follow these tips and avoid skipping workouts.
