Paul Walker has always been a California boy. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley by his parents Paul and Cheryl, Walker had fitness in his genes. His grandfather used to box professionally.
Walker is known for starring in the Fast and the Furious. In it he plays Brian O'Conner. O'Conner is an undercover detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. He has been assigned to find out who is hijacking tractor trailers in the area. While investigating the street racing scene, he meets Vin Diesel's character, Dom Toretto. Toretto is the leader of the hijacking crew. To complicate things, after winning Toretto's trust, O'Conner falls in love with his sister. Imagine how complicated it is for him having to decide who to betray.
How did Paul Walker get so fit? One of the way he stays fit is by practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art which focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It builds mass, increases flexibility and cardio. Walker also practices Muay Thai. Muay Thai is a martial art that focuses on striking. You use your hands, knees, elbows and feet as striking instruments. While we might not be Paul Walker we can still be in shape like him. We don't have to practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Muay Thai. As long as you perform some type of physical activity you'll get fit. Find something that you would love to do. For some people that would be cycling, dancing, or soccer.
As far as the fuel for his body, Walker followed the Paleo diet which is sometimes called the caveman diet. The Paleo diet basically focuses on eating meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, roots and nuts. Grains, legumes, dairy products, salt, refined sugar, and processed oils are excluded from your diet.
Diet is a very important part of staying fit.The caveman diet is an easy diet to follow once you get over not being able to eat so many carbohydrates. You don't have to count calories so that's one advantage over the majority of diets. If you do feel like you need to eat carbohydrates that are low glycemic. These are foods such as sweet potatoes, wheat pasta and oats.
