What to do in Bel Air

By Luis Pezzini

Bel Air is home to many rich people and celebrities. This affluent residential community is very prestigious and owning property in this location is symbol of success and being at the top. This community is part of the platinum triangle of Los Angeles along with Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills. It is near the UCLA campus and Sunset Boulevard. Living here denotes certain lifestyle, which many people only dream about and work diligently to achieve.

Bel Air counts with the most amazing real estate in the nation and homes here start in the millions, but expect to find modest luxury homes as well as large and impressive villas and compounds. This location exhibits some of the best real estate, but also is known for its five star hotels. These hotels are masterpieces of futuristic or classic design offering glitz, but also luxurious restaurants, international cuisine, lounges, bars, dance clubs, gift shops and exclusive boutiques, spas, state of the art fitness equipment, cabanas, luxurious pools, tennis courts, lush gardens, and the most opulent surroundings and finest furnishings. Expect to be among celebrities when visiting this area. All close in proximity to major shopping centers and Los Angeles most popular spots, including Beverly Hills.

Due to its proximity to downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, there is plenty to see and do here. One of the biggest attractions of the area is the Hannah Carter Japanese garden, inspired by the Tokyo gardens. Expect to marvel at the beauty of the area including water features, bridges, pagodas, shrine, stone carvings, lanterns, and many rock structures.

In addition to natural beauty, expect to see filming crews in the area from time to time. In addition, the country club is one of the most prestigious social clubs in the area, featuring golf course and tennis courts. Expect to enjoy a lively evening with live music, bands, jazz, and fine dining as well as dance, concerts, and theatre events at the Moses E. Ghindi Auditorium, one of the finest facilities in Los Angeles.

While known for being more secluded and private, Bel Air offers the best of both worlds due to its proximity to other glitzy spots, where celebrities and the elite can be found living the good life.
