Acquiring Curly Indian Hair At Home

By Antoinette Quinn

Over the past few years, many women have admired the curly Indian hair fad because celebrities had it. In fact, many ladies have been going to their hairdressers to have a unique and extremely curly hairstyle. Now the good news here is that one is now able to acquire curls at home with these methods although it will be harder.

Now the easiest way to get extreme curls would be to simply go to the salon and ask them to do it. The only requirement here would be to grow the hair until it reaches a rather significant length so that it is easy to curl. If one prefers not to go to salons, then there are some steps on how to do this at home.

So the next best and healthier alternative would be to acquire those curls at home where fewer chemicals can be used. Of course the first step would be to moisturize the scalp and make sure that it never dries. Use some moisturizing shampoo or even some moisturizing creams that go well on the scalp.

For those who do not have natural curls or waves, use some curl enhancing shampoo as well as conditioners to give it the extra shine. After a while, curls will form and it will be time to start scrunching up the hair. Now for people with straight locks, always remember never to use straightening products or else the curls will never form.

When the moisturizing part is done, then one now has to position her head upside down so that she can start scrunching it and form the curls. Doing this will help the curls form more and even stay that way without going limp. After a few minutes of scrunching, she may now use a drier to harden her entire locks so that they do not straighten up.

When that is done, apply some curl enhancing lotion as this will help the strands get used to the way they are in position already. The secret here is to put this lotion all over the head and massage the scalp with it as well as the roots of each strand. Do not forget to put big amounts as it will also make the curls like moisturized and not dried up.

One other tip that really works is to try buying a hot iron curler that is used on hair that does not maintain its curliness. These things make use of heat energy in order to make the curls stay in their position without going limp. The only catch here is that it is not very good for the scalp if it is used every day because too much heat is bad for the body.

Now take note if that if one chooses to have curly Indian hair, she cannot use shampoo anymore as it will destroy the whole look because of all the harmful chemicals that shampoo contains. If one cannot help but to shampoo, just use mild ones like baby shampoo.
