Everyone who wears a headband has to wrap it at some point. This is because most of them do not sleep in the head gear. Before retiring to bed, most users of the headband will unwrap it and fold it for safe keeping until the next morning. It is however understandable that there are so many methods of tying a turban that one may use. It all depends on the person wearing it as well as the reason for doing the same.

Religious beliefs have a major influence in the lives of many people. It is therefore not surprising that most of the communities that used the headband associated the use of the same to their religious beliefs. Even today, most sectarian churches in most parts of the world have a special dressing code that includes the use of the headband. It is therefore a good thing to try and understand the role of culture when dealing with turbans.

Color is always an important aspect when talking of any kind of outfits worn either on the head or anywhere else on the body. It therefore has a similar effect when dealing with headbands. You should never be surprised to visit certain parts of the world only to find almost everyone wearing headbands of a certain color. This is typical in religious circles.

There are different reasons why people use the headband and you should factor that into consideration. When you want a headband for religious purposes, you start by looking at the specific requirements of the religious groups in question.

Many religions have special styles of wrapping the head gears. Muslims for example may even have a specific demand on colors that can be used and those that may not be used. Hindus similarly have their own color choices. It always takes a knowledgeable religious leader to know what colors are acceptable as well as the style of tying the gear.

People who live in the deserts for example tie their headbands in certain styles. That is why there are certain variations in the design of tying the wrapper based on the regions that the users come from. Some communities also have headbands reserved for certain persons with leadership roles in their midst. It only takes a look at community trends to decide which kind of style you may use when wrapping the headbands.

If you decide to tie the headband for a religious person using materials or styles that their religion does not approve of, you are likely to have it rejected. It is therefore your role to try and make sure you can understand the different methods used by the groups that you want to wrap the headband for. Without this, you cannot successfully do it.

To keep the hair clean and neat, the communities living in these places became accustomed to tying a turban in a certain way. It is for this reason that you can easily find them wearing turbans of different colors unlike other groups. This is because there is no religious or cultural attachment to the gear except that it is designed to protect the hair.
