Most people experience difficulties and end up making tight wraps. Tight turbans are uncomfortable to wear and always cause headaches. The procedure becomes easier after practicing on a few wraps.

There is a wide range of colors to select from. Some of the colors on high demand in this region are blue, green, white and black. The material of the turban determines the price in the market. There are those made from cotton, silk and other synthetics. Irrespective of the material, these items are attractive and fashionable.

This headgear is one of the pillars of Islam. In ancient times, the only people who wore this accessory were of the Islamic faith. It therefore provided a basis for these people to identify their own far much easier. It is on this ground that they were able to recognize Muslim people in the society. They were able to come together and build their relationship with each other. Women wear hijabs as required by their strict laws to disguise their faces.

It has also been adopted by prominent and wealthy members of the society as a way of expressing their success.

Leaders and scholars often prefer white turbans for convenience. The descendants of the famous prophet wear those are colored black. There are a number of religious events and occasions celebrated annually. Colorful attire is worn in weddings while gloomy ones are mainly for mourning times.

The Islamic turban is suitable for use in hot climates. A majority of the nations where Islam is the main religion are located in regions that experience harsh climate. They are used by people to cover their heads to escape the hot sun. Some people use them to protect their hair. They are used by nomadic groups to cover their faces while travelling through dusty deserts.
