In 1999 the Juicy Couture brand was developed and since then it has become a massive worldwide hit with celebrities and fashionistas alike. Youthful, modern and feminine designs are exuded throughout the range, which is aimed at 10-26 year old females. Pale pinks and purples give a very feminine feel to the range while a delicate and soft design frame give a real purpose to the branding and make them a popular hit right around the globe.
In 1995, the label's creators wanted to design a range of maternity wear that was traditionally feminine while remaining classy. Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash from California combined this idea with the launch of a jeans range and labelled the brand "Travis Jeans". Affordability to the regular consumer was at the heart of the brand and the girls went on to design a range of active and casual wear for the everyday female, this became the Juicy Couture range.
The first celebrity to jump on the Juicy Couture bandwagon was Madonna, who, after being sent a tracksuit by the women in the late 90s began wearing the brand and bringing it to the attention of the celebrity world. Madonna wore the velour tracksuit on a number of different outings and the design became immediately popular.
Despite the brands imminent success, the creators did not develop an independent Juicy Couture store until the mid-2000s, until that time the designs were sold only through the boutique retailers such as Neiman Marcus. After this time a number of boutiques and flagship stores were created right around the world.
In recent times the Juicy Couture brand has introduced online shopping onto its website, this aims to appeal to a wide range of shoppers who can now purchase the brand from right around the world. Shoes, jewellery, handbags and clothes are all available for purchase and can be shipped to almost anywhere around the world.
