Do you want a Snoopy Costume this Halloween? Who wouldn't love dressing up like a cute, chunky little dog for Halloween? First of all, and you know it's true, women love dogs. Secondly, if you can't think of another dog inspired costume all on your own from all of the awesome dog characters already out there then I will give you an example. So, how about dear old Snoopy?
You remember him don't you? Everyone knows Snoopy - he's that great dog from the Charlie Brown cartoons that we grew up with. Plus, and this is important, you're in luck because it's actually pretty easy to make a Snoopy costume in the first place. So let's get started right away.
First of all, you will need two white sheets. Don't try to short cut it short using pillow cases either. It just won't work. These sheets need to be at least twin size - maybe bigger depending on your size. First, line the two sheets up with one right next to the other. You should do this on the floor so that you can easily spread them out full length and flatten out all of the wrinkles. Also, be sure to situate them so that you can easily fold one over the other.
Now, get your hot-glue gun and make a hot-glue oval on only the top one third of the sheet. Next, quickly and carefully fold it over onto the other sheet and press it down so that the glue bonds the two sheets together. This will eventually be Snoopy's face. Cut this part out and lay it to the side.
Next, you'll need to make two boxing-glove sized circles on the rest of the sheet. Use the hot-glue to outline them the same way that you outlined Snoopy's face. Then fold the sheet over each circle and press it down. These will be Snoopy's paws - an intricate part of any Halloween Snoopy costume. Now this is very important - remember to make them large enough so that you can put your hands inside them later. Cut these out and set them off to the side.
These will eventually be Snoopy's paws - an important part of any Snoopy Halloween costume. Remember to make them large enough so that you can put your hands in them once they are complete so make them bigger than you might originally think. Now it's time to cut them out and set to the side while they cool.
Lastly, you will need to stuff the three big pieces. You may use anything you have available, but the best stuffing is any material that is fluffy and soft like something you would fill a pillow with. Take a black marker and draw in the nose, eyes, spots, and claws once your pieces are stuffed and shaped correctly. Be sure to put a big smiley face on Snoopy too.
On Snoopy's face, cut two slits near the hole for you head and find ribbon, string, or shoe laces to tie it down to your head like a big fluffy hat. Add some white tight or sweats to cover the rest of your body and a pair of white tennis shoes and socks and you're done.
Voila! Now you are ready to rock the town in your awesome Snoopy costume! So go grab Linus, Charlie Brown, Woodstock and the rest of the Peanuts gang and let's all go find the Great Pumpkin together. Happy Halloween everybody.
