'Takers' Flick Delivered Action & Shootouts

By Kevin Smith

Screen Gems Films presented an action movie named "Takers" into theaters a while back. I finally got around to checking it out. It got mixed reviews from the professional film critics, but I give it a favorable review. I think it was fantastic and entertaining as it provided some great shootout action,in addition to very progressed scheming and plotting. It features: Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez, Tip "T.I." Harris, Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, and Hayden Christensen.

"Takers" movie revolved around a few men who rob banks for a living. They're led by a man named Gordon Jennings. Much of their robberies run pretty smoothly as they are masked and run a perfectly, well thought out execution, and escape route . However, after their last robbery success, their old running mate Ghost gets out of prison after serving five years for getting caught in one of their robberies that went wrong.

Ghost has returned to collect his loot, and presents a totally new robbery plan that could mean lots of money if successful. They eventually make an effort to execute the plan because it looks good on paper.

However, when put into practice, things don't go quite the way they want them to. Also, a twists on Ghost's end of the deal sends the entire thing to hell, leaving them battling for their lives.

It featured a great deal of action scenes, which included a man named Jesse Attica getting involved in a huge chase and shootout adventure, one of the guys fighting five guys by himself while trying to get some C4,and another huge gunfight scene towards the conclusion. This film was filled with shootouts,I can safely say.

It was very entertaining. I never got bored for a moment. Additionally,I liked all the scheming and plotting that took place in order for them to perform the gigantic robbery attempt. It made the movie really interesting to observe. I gave it an A grade.
