'The Last Exorcism' Movie Featured Crazy Scenes

By Ryan Smith

Lionsgate Films came out with their horror, thriller film labeled "The Last Exorcism" into theaters a while back. I finally watched it,and I thought it was good. The professional movie critics were a bit mixed on this one,but I thought it was pretty good. It featured quite a lot of weird, suspenseful, creepy scenes that left me on the edge of my seat. It features: Patrick Fabian, Ashley Bell,Louis Herthum, and Tony Bentley.

The flick centered around a man named Cotton Marcus who is a supposed Reverend that executes bogus exorcisms for payment. On his last trip,he makes a decision to record his full experience, and reveal what he actually does to fool these people. However, this new experience is an experience he'll always remember. He shows up at the Louis Sweetzer farm. The town is filled with individuals who believe in crazy demon stories as they reveal in a recording session.

Louis Sweetzer is hooked on the idea that his daughter Nell is possessed by a demon because she shows loco behavior, and then doesn't remember it after it's over. Cotton eventually uses some tricks to make it really look like she's really possessed and performs a pretend exorcism to make things seem ok.

After that, they exit town, thinking everything is ok as it was just another routine, fake exorcism. However, when Nell shows up in their hotel room, located five hours from the Sweetzer Farm, all hell breaks loose ,and eventually ends with a shocker twist finale.

It featured weird scenes, which included Nell chopping up a kitten,Nell crawling and walking in the pitch dark,Nell going crazy and cracking her fingers, and a real crazy scene where an infant is removed from Nell and thrown into a monstrous ball of fire. It was really crazy. In my opinion, the flick was quite interesting. It had me on the edge of my seat with all the suspense scenes because they were in the dark a lot.

It delivered a nice little build up at the outset before all the weird stuff started up,which gave it a real excellent shocking effect when the girl flipped out. It was definitely a great thriller flick. I gave it an A ranking.
