A turban is known to be a wrapping headgear that is made of long pieces of fabrics used in covering the head. The length of most pieces is usually around twelve feet and are mostly made of cotton, silk, fine, and muslin fabrics. Different turban colors are worn for various occasions as each color represent different purpose.

Today, the use of turbans has moved from just being a piece of fabric worn on the head to being considered as fashion. Fashion icons are seen today in magazines wearing turbans, although they are now a little bit advanced. Some have been added beads and pieces of gold on them while others have prints and different patterns. These extra designs have helped in enhancing their appearing and add a classy look.

Colors are known to have different meaning to different people, with some of them having a connection with religious and cultural beliefs. White for instance is associated with holiness by most religious groups; for this, it is worn in various occasions that may be inappropriate to wear dull colors which have other meanings. In the past, leaders have had the tendency to prefer white head wraps for their daily wear.

The young generation tends to pick bright or shouting color such as yellow, pink and green for their head gears. In formal occasions, such as dinners, they normally pick navy blue or black since they look more official. Military personnel have a different choice of color as they pick those that camouflage while in the battlefield. Other people select patriotic shades and patterns to show their love to their country.

The color of head gears is sometimes picked to match with the outfit of the wearer. Sometimes the patterns on them also match with the garments worn. This kind of wearers are not restricted to one color and can therefore pick one that suits their needs. Basically, the colors they choose for their head wears is picked from the many that are sold and depend on the fondness of the wearer.

Most people tend to favor bright colored wears even though some of them are used in norm practices. The way one looks when attending a commemorative occasion is very important as it represent their beliefs. Other than their perceived representation, their appearance determines how glamorous one may look as they enhance ones beauty.

There are other turbans that are used by nomadic tribes to prevent sand and dust from ruining their hair. Protection from sand is their only purpose and has no religious connection like those worn by believers. It is for this reason that they have a preference of dirt proof attires that have a darker color. It is because they can stay for long without showing the dirt collected.

Other different turban colors have helped chemotherapy patients to cover their head during the process when they are losing their hair. Lose of hair sometimes contribute to low their self esteem, which may affect their life. However, with the help of these head wears that offer different colors to choose from, they are able to gain their self esteem back.
