Want To Be A Celebrity?

By Joan Pickett

Celebrity culture has pervaded all facets of our normal lives. Most people now have the concentration spans of goldfishes and the pragmatic life expectancies of an ostrich. A lot of misspent kids think success means looking good or blagging a well off man.

So if they have looks they enhance them with boob roles and botox. If they already have nice assets they display them to the extreme or reinforce them so they become larger. If you do not have a tattoo or brilliantly bleached teeth you're now in the minority.

The world is now looks obsessed but no one cares about the greed or the fickleness of looks. Looks eventually fade away, but your soul does not.

All this pressure to look good in my opinion has driven up suicide rates. It's also had a major influence on bulimia and anorexia levels. So folks turn to nutrition to solve their identity and self-worth issues and become obese. If looks take pole position in your life irrespective of what you appear to be you'll always be subject to self esteem issues.

Celebrity culture is tied up with fame, looks, material possessions and gluttony. Money is now regarded as the major asset to making you ecstatic. If you do not have it you aim for it. But money brings it's own share of issues.

Money can't cure you of cancer, it can't save your kid from being run over, and won't hold you in the middle of the night when you are lonely. You can't substitute money for contentment, but many of us end of chasing this merciless American dream.

If you attempted giving a touch more of your perseverance and time every day to those in need you will get rewarded back tenfold. Money and a vocation are important assets for shielding your family, but they shouldn't take precedence in your life. No kid ever expounded to his ma and pa, I want you to work harder or longer hours so we can have more money to spend in less time than we see one another now.

Celebrities spend their whole lives working, hopping from country to country, hounding their youngsters with them as they are going on the never ending marketing publicity tour. Is this the sort of life any kid deserves? Not surprising virtually no celebrity couples last. They blame the media for the pressure, but they themselves are those who make their career their God.

Custom Printed T-shirts Are Cultural Signs

By Gladys Holland

Custom printed t-shirts are a recent manifestation of social phenomenon that has been a prominent part of the post modern era. The formal clothing of prewar times gave way to freedom and informality after the War was over. People began to wear in public what would have been considered underwear in previous eras.

The T shirt fashion quickly caught on at all levels of society. There are T shirts for young and old, rich and poor, girls and boys. They come in a variety of tastes and statements, from the vulgar to the elegant, and from the tasteful to the banal. One thing that they have in common is they are all comfortable to wear and almost universally popular.

Since the time of the Beetles people have struggled to be 'different, and stand out in ever more dense crowds. This may account for the popularity of t-shirts that are all made to the same cut but invite individual expressions of originality. Many slogans printed on them might be banal but there is at least scope for individuality and wit.

Signs have been important in societies ever since cave dwellers painted on the walls of caves. Signs and pictures convey succinct messages about what people like, what they believe in and what they stand for. Like rock art, t-shirts make comments about the state of society, and they also make fashion statements reflecting the caliber of a society's intellectual capacity.

A garment can serve as a memento of experiences or achievement. For example, joggers often get a t-shirt on completion of a race and wear it with pride. In other cases a product such as drink or cosmetic can be advertised on a promotional piece of clothing that has been given out in return for free advertising.

In the past few decades the world may have moved beyond the post modern age into a new era that is yet without an acknowledged name. It is characterized by the advent of computers and the Internet. True to form, the clothing and fashion industries are on cue with custom printed t-shirts. They can be designed online according to individual tastes or selected from a data base of designs and purchased online. Read more about: custom printed tshirts

How To Find Custom Hockey Uniforms

By Lorena Wilder

A uniform makes a sports team easily identifiable. It boosts the pride of members while showcasing their unique personality as a team. Separate your team from the others by having custom hockey uniforms made.

Before getting these garments, a few things should be done. Agree with the team members on the color and design for the jerseys. List down the member's sizes together with their respective numbers. These details must be collected before contacting the jersey makers.

Finding the best jersey shop is another story. Many of them have already posted about their services via the internet. Selecting the right one is entirely up to the customer. Take time to navigate through the websites to see what is available in the store. Explore all possible options.

Another factor that must be considered in buying jerseys is the kind of material used. It should be light to wear and comfortable. Hockey involves physical activity. Jerseys that are irritating to wear are not advisable. Players need a kind of clothing that allows them to move around freely.

Pricing is an important concern on this subject. Getting the right value for the money is something customers would want. Find out if the shops have additional services available. Package discount is a good way to save money. Ask for an estimate on the probable cost of your purchase as well as shipping cost. Read about the shop's return policy so you will know what to do in case your order gets damaged during shipment.

Get to know the shop's background in the business by reading testimonials from previous clients. Positive feedback indicate customer satisfaction and quality service. This will help you select the best jersey maker for you.

Surely it becomes challenging to get the right custom hockey uniforms. However, wearing them separates your team from others and increases the players' confidence. That is something no money cannot buy. Read more about: Custom Hockey Uniforms

Use Plastic Eggs For The Best Easter Egg Hunt Your Kids Have Ever Had

By Elton Joy

The Easter story is about a promise, and a gift. It is about the life of a man, his death, and his fulfillment of the ultimate gift giving sacrifice. They then hide these eggs for the kids to find. What, then, are these kids supposed to do with the eggs once they find them? Are they going to eat them? Most kids at Easter time are more interested in candy and toys than they are in eating real, hard boiled eggs, no matter what color they've been painted.

It's the story of Pontius Pilot ending the life of the King of Kings and sentencing him to not only die, but to be assassinated, to be beaten and abused, to be crucified. That way, you can stuff them with whatever you want. This is great for the kids because not only do they get to participate in the Easter egg hunt but they also get to keep whatever they find inside the eggs they find.

It is the story of how Jesus Christ took on the sins of the world and obediently and purely out of love, laid down his fears and pain, and gave his life for those that are willing to accept the gift of eternal life. For example, you can fill the eggs with candy, money, trinkets, toys, or whatever else you choose. The money part doesn't need to be a lot, even a dollar is a lot of money to small child, but it's the excitement it creates that makes it for one fun Easter egg hunt. By shopping at the dollar store, you can find all sorts of things to fill your plastic eggs with. You'll probably end up spending less than you would had you used real eggs with Easter egg coloring kits, and the kids will have much more fun than if you would have used real eggs.

The true meaning and heart behind this, the ultimate celebration of life, can sometimes get pushed to the back of peoples minds while they get overly involved in their all ready chaotic lives, and forget the reason to celebrate this glorious day!Don't hide the Easter eggs on top of anything tall, for instance, so that the children can't even reach them. A better place to hide them is under chairs, behind the couch, on the stairs, or anywhere that will force them to look but just make sure it's not so easy that the Easter egg hunt is over in a couple of seconds.

That is what Christians are celebrating on Easter Sunday. They are celebrating that fact that Jesus conquered hell, death, and the grave, that his sinless nature couldn't be held down by the powers of darkness, proving this by his resurrection, that "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Petit Le Mans will be the anniversary of Scott Tucker's professional debut

By Cassandra E. Wheaton

The pinnacle of the 2011 American Le Mans series takes place on Oct. 1 with the 14th annual Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. For Scott Tucker, driver and owner for Level 5 Motorsports, the race marks the beginning of his sixth year of professional racing. In 2006, he made his professional debut at Petit Le Mans, and from there, his career took off.

"There are not many Americans that get to race there, first and foremost, so I feel very privileged to be among that group," he said. "This year, we're the only American prototype team there. We feel very fortunate we were selected to race there."

The Petit Le Mans race is an endurance race modeled after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is its equivalent for the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup series. Road Atlanta owner Don Panoz founded it, and the first iteration ran on Oct. 10, 1998-and Panoz must have had a thing for tens, because the race covers a maximum of 1,000 miles or a minimum of 10 hours, whichever comes first. Class winners of Petit Le Mans automatically qualify for the following year's 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Tucker has increasingly focused on the American Le Mans Series as his career has continued. After he founded Level 5 Motorsports in 2008, his main actions have included drafting talented veterans known for incredible precision even at maximum speeds. This year's Petit Le Mans has unofficially been the holy grail in Tucker's eyes: Mid-season, he announced the switch from the team's Nos. 55 and 95 Microsoft Office-sponsored LMP2 cars to a brand new, right-off-the-line HPD ARX-01g chassis, the result of a partnership between Honda Performance Development and Wirth Research. Tucker pushed hard to get the car finished as quickly as possible, of course without sacrificing quality. While making the transition between cars, Tucker even withdrew from ALMS races in Lime Rock Park and a huge one at Silverstone in Great Britain, choosing instead to focus on the all-important Petit ahead.

Now, Tucker has added a fourth elite driver to his already well-stacked team. Marino Franchitti will join the team and its new car-which Tucker marks as best in its class-for the 2011 race at Road Atlanta. Franchitti has extensive experience with the HPD prototype family, having participated in the first year of development of the ARX-01a with Andretti Green Racing before spending some LMP2 time with Dyson Racing. The addition of Franchitti to the lineup is an obvious sign that Tucker is going for the win at Petit Le Mans, though that's never not the case when Tucker enters a race track. He is a three-time national driving champion. Level 5 Motorsports' performance in 2010 during its debut year in the American Le Mans Series sent them to the top of the podium and bumped them into the LMP2 category.

Tucker has made giant strides since his Petit Le Mans professional debut in 2006, and this year he's possibly the most prepared he's ever been. A victory would mean another addition to Tucker's unbelievable record in the past five years, and moving to the LMP1 category would mean that Tucker has made it to the top class in the sport he seemingly was born to compete in. Whatever the results end up meaning for Level 5 Motorsports, the work they've already put in this year make it clear that the team is one of the most prolific, aggressive racing organizations in the world.

Level 5's unique practice perspective: Only racing makes perfect.

By Ryan Anderson

Earlier this year, the Scott Tucker-owned racing team Level 5 Motorsports prepared for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, an historic endurance race in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup series. Like any team, Level 5 aimed to win. But curiously, the team opted out of the option to qualify for a starting position in the race, instead accepting the dead last position for its two Microsoft Office-sponsored LMP2 cars, Nos. 55 and 95.

"Qualifying for a 24-hour race is meaningless," said a Level 5 mechanic at the time. "Anything that's not directly related to winning, we're going to opt out of."

It's true; in a day-long event, starting position isn't the most crucial element. But declining to qualify is not to say that the practice involved in driving laps prior to a race isn't essential to success in professional motorsports. Specifically, it's the kind of laps you drive.

The practice sessions open to teams in the days leading up to races are a critical time to get to know an unfamiliar track and maximize the efficiency of driver changes and pit stops. And, for Tucker and Level 5, practice is an opportunity to get a feel for a new car, a factor the team has faced numerous times in its existence.

Most recently, the team unveiled its new LMP2 cost-capped Honda chassis at the American Le Mans Series Monterey at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway on Sept. 17. The mere hours of road time the car experienced before the race were valuable indicators of how the car would perform in the race, another benefit of practice time.

But generally, the Level 5 team stays true to its mechanic's word: Practice is nothing if it doesn't make perfect. That's one of the reasons the team runs two Le Mans Prototype entries in every race-when Tucker started Level 5 Motorsports in 2008, he was only two years into his professional racing career, and he needed practice. But he also wasn't willing to waste time completing meaningless laps around a track against no competitors.

"From the time and energy I spend practicing, it just makes more sense to enter two cars in the races," Tucker said. "Not only that, but it's actually beneficial to run two cars. When you're out there practicing, you're not racing against anybody. When you look at it logically, it's much smarter from a time perspective and infrastructure perspective, not to mention that you get extra racing seat time."

To Tucker, the most valuable practice experiences have been those in actual race situations. Although practice sessions have proven useful to the Level 5 team when it wants to survey a new car's capabilities, the team typically treats each and every mile on the track as an opportunity for a world-class win. That strategy has worked for the team, who now enters the pinnacle of the 2011 season-with the SCCA Runoffs, Petit Le Mans and the 6 Hours of Zhuhai in China left to go-after two years of continuously increasing success.

Although Tucker was 44 when he took the wheel for his first professional race in 2006, his race-only mindset strategy has quickly made up the time he never had to build his career. His success has skyrocketed in just the past 5 years. The results can't be ignored: He's a three-time national champion; 2010 ALMS rookie of the year; two-time T1 division national champion, going for a third this weekend; three-time Ferrari Challenge Series champion; and holder of a record 10 wins in the FC series.

Entering his career, Tucker clearly had his accelerator to the floor. He quickly joined endurance veteran Christophe Bouchut, who acted as his mentor in addition to his driving partner. Tucker has always driven with the cream of the elite motorsports crop, a strategy that has allowed him some room to develop as a driver while still being making plenty of podium appearances. The winning mindset he has maintained since day one has helped him become an elite driver in only a handful of years. As Tucker's team makes its LMP2 debut in the American Le Mans Series Petit Le Mans next weekend, it will compete against some of the fastest, most experienced drivers in the industry. For Level 5 Motorsports, it should be a good practice

Level 5 won't face the challenge of nighttime racing again until 2012

By Brandon Humphrey

Level 5 Motorsports, one of the world's most prolific racing organizations, is in the midst of rounding out the 2011 racing schedule, with just three short-but very important-races left to tackle. The SCCA Runoffs, the ALMS Petit Le Mans and the 6 Hours of Zhuhai in China are sure to be high-profile, intense competition races. But one thing they're not: an entire day long.

The mother of all endurance races is the 24-hour enduro. With two on the 2011 books for Level 5 Motorsports, owned by Scott Tucker, the team had to be prepared for a grueling day-and night-of racing. The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup series offered the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, in June, and the Grand-Am Rolex sets up the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway, which was Level 5's first race of the 2011 year, in January.

Having made podium at both super-endurance races, the Level 5 drivers (which also include Luis Diaz and Christophe Bouchut) have clearly mastered some of the unique challenges a day-long competition presents. One of the most obvious: driving in the dark. After focusing on a well-lit road all day, drivers are often challenged to keep a competitive pace when it gets dark, especially on tracks that aren't well-lit. At the Daytona International Speedway, almost all of the track is lit by floodlights, so drivers adjust more easily. But in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the course occasionally goes through secluded highways in France.

"It takes a little while to get adjusted," Tucker said. "But the track is still there; you just have to get used to it." When making the transition from day to night, teams make sure to check that the headlights are working perfectly, and the rest is up to the driver. "You sort of become one with the road," Tucker says. "It's the same way a blind person's other senses are heightened; your other senses eventually take over, and soon enough you're matching the lap times from earlier in the day."

Many of the newest Le Mans Prototype models regularly approach 200mph in race situations, which is amplified when driven at night. "There's nothing like driving at night," Tucker says.

Tucker and his Level 5 team secured an invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans when they won their LMP class in 2010 at the ALMS Petit Le Mans. Taking the wheels of LMP2 cars for the 2011 season, the team will again look for their invite to 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012-hopefully, with an LMP1 class designation. This weekend, the team competes in the SCCA Runoffs, but the race they've really been focused on all season has been Petit Le Mans. They recently added a new car to their Microsoft Office-sponsored entries, a cost-capped Honda chassis with modified fuel injector and other specifications that ultimately allow the car to run with more power at a lighter weight.

So far, the car has proven unbeatable; it's debut at Monterey was flawless, and the weeks leading up to Petit Le Mans are just additional opportunities for the drivers to acquaint themselves with the new set of wheels. With an LMP2 win at the top of their to-do list, the next time Level 5 Motorsports makes the transition from night to day could be in an LMP1 class at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans.

A Garden Wedding Favor Tips

By Dora Kate

A wedding is by far one of the most special days of our lives, where everything and everyone is present for the same reason to enter your families history forever. The guests present are important to the couple not only because they are witness to their vow of eternal love but also because they make this day special with their presence and blessings.

The Waves In A Sea Shell Wedding Favor

By Elton Joy

She sells sea shells by the sea shore and many will end up in the form of a sea shell wedding favor. They are ideal for the couple getting married on the beach, or those who simply love the water. You can buy them or make your own to match the theme of the wedding.Gluing small shells to cardboard sucker sticks to make them look like suckers can make as easy sea shell wedding favor, and placing enough for the entire table in a half oyster shell makes them really stand out. Wrap the entire package in sheer while netting to make it seem as though they were fresh caught from the sea.

Whether you use initials, when the space for engraving is limited, or complete first names, engraved names and dates become a treasure of the family heritage. For a seaside or on boat wedding there is a boat-shaped candle dubbed the love boat that brightens up any wedding table. It arrives with a clear plastic case and all you have to do is add your personalized tag to remind everyone where it came from.

A tropical-themed wedding can make use of place card holders in the shape of miniature palm trees. They will add wonderful sea shell wedding favor decoration to the table while performing a valuable service for reserved seating. You can find miniature light houses to serve a place card holder as well, and by placing them in a bed of sea shells they can light up any table.

Phrases from romantic or love songs convey warmth of passion. But their use needs a little attention. First, you need to choose those songs that both you and your mate are fond of and not the ones of solely your choice. You can find the ribbon available for personalizing with your names and wedding date printed on it. Half scalloped clam shells can be the base for everything good in designing your own sea shell wedding favor. You can fill them with small bath beads, candy or other items you choose, then wrap them in netting and tie with a ribbon to sit on the tables until opened by your guests.

A small glass bottle half filled with sand sets the stage for this sea shell wedding favor as small sea shells can be placed inside with the sand. Some can be glued to the outside of the bottle as well, or a gold string glued to the shell and hung around the neck of the bottle for a real sea side treat.

Tucker's overflowing schedule is testament to his commitment to each series

By Samantha Harrison

There's commitment, and there's overcommitment. Scott Tucker's racing schedule, for most people, would be overcommitment. Competing in five series in seven countries for the 2011 season, Tucker has been literally all over the map for the past 10 months. But for Tucker, his racing schedule-which includes the Grand-Am Rolex series, the American Le Mans Series, the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup series, the Ferrari Challenge series and the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge series-is truly evident of simply commitment. The schedule doesn't overwhelm him because he's doing it for the sole reason that he enjoys it. The sometimes four-race weekends don't stress him out because he wants to be at each and every one. There is perhaps no better way to illustrate Tucker's commitment to all of the series and cars that have gotten him where he is today than to look at his five-year relationship with Ferrari, where everything started.

Now, Tucker is a three-time national driving champion who has competed in some of the newest, fastest cars in the industry and stood at podium next to the racing veterans who have been doing it the longest. But just five short years ago, Tucker was climbing into the driver's seat of a Ferrari for his first full season as a race car driver, in the Ferrari Challenge series. He raced at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and later he took fifth place at Portland International Raceway, his best finish of the season. He then took third in one of the two North American races at the World Finals in Italy.

Tucker drove Ferrari again in 2007 for his second full season of the Ferrari Challenge. In May of that year, he nabbed his first career win at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. Tucker then created his Level 5 Motorsports team in 2008, entering the FC series as both owner and driver. He took his Ferrari to the top six times in the 13-race season and finished second overall in the final drivers' standings, and then won both of the two North American races at World Finals. Tucker took a Ferrari V8 Crawford GT to four Rolex Sports Car Series races in the same season. In 2009, Tucker won 10 races, which made him the winningest driver in Ferrari Challenge's history. His Boardwalk Ferrari team won the Dealer's Championship.

When Tucker decided to pursue even more prestigious racing events, including the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and the American Le Mans Series, he knew his increasing opportunities were in part thanks to his success with Ferrari. Not only that, but he still loved racing Ferraris. So to ditch his Ferrari career after finding so much success in the series was never an option. Even as he added four additional series to his racing schedule, along with cutting-edge supercars in the Le Mans Prototype classes, Ferrari always made the list, too. Tucker has raced in up to four different races in a single race weekend to accommodate all of his commitments.

In 2010, Tucker began a partnership with Ferrari to test and develop its new 599XX for the 2011 season. Tucker's new No. 55 Ferrari 599XX improved the mechanics, technical specifications, technology and speed of its predecessors. The fact that he not only raced for Ferrari while racing in four other series but also spent time creating a new car with the program is testament to Tucker's solid ties to Ferrari. Without Ferrari, he might never have ignited an engine on the race track, and he isn't ignorant to the fact. As his schedule permits, he will continue to race in the Ferrari Challenge series just as he did five years ago.

Why You Will Find The Coffee Wedding Favor Ranking High On The Popularity List?

By Catherine Walter

A big plus for these wedding favors is their great versatility that makes them ideal item for almost any wedding occasion. However, from the vast list of gifts, the coffee wedding favor stands out as one of the most popular choice ever. Why is the coffee wedding favor chosen more often than any other type of gifts is very simple. The coffee wedding favor has everything that one would want in a good and thoughtful gift. It is widely accepted, it is qualitative and it is useful.

A wedding favor is actually a tiny gift, a token of appreciation and thanks that you offer your guests in return for the trouble they have taken to take out time and join you to witness the wedding and share your joy. It is a beautiful way to say, 'Thank you for making it to my wedding.' The wedding favor has one more role besides being a 'thank you' note. It aims to keep fresh the wedding day in the minds of the guests for as long as it is possible. The coffee wedding favor fits like a glove for all the descriptions listed above.

One thing you can do with silverware is to give separate favors to the bride and groom. You may choose a silver money clip for one gender and a silver-plated mirror for the mate, perfect if both are matching in look. The coffee can be customized to have a certain flavor that will make it unique and hence remind the guests about the wedding day long after it is gone. The wrapper of the coffee pouches too, can be customized to include the date, the name of the newly weds, and may be a tiny inscription that would remind those who read it about your special day.

The most impressive use of silver items has been made in silverware for the wedding party. Knives, forks, bottle openers, spoons, salt sellers, sugar pots, cups, and pastry tongues etc. come in handsome sets for use on the dining table. What gift can be better than this? These are the reasons why coffee wedding favor continues to be the hot favorite for the large majority of people. The coffee wedding favor can be improved by adding miniature coffee mugs (or full sized one) with photo imprints of the newly weds and/or with inscriptions that would remind everyone of the wedding.

The cost of silver plated wedding favors varies from item to item and place to place. In most cases, you will find a nice silver wedding favor for less than two dollars to a little over 20 dollars. Not only that, they will also remember you and your wedding every time they will drink the coffee and/or use the mugs that you have presented.

Scott Tucker Nabs Championship at the SCCA Runoffs For Third Straight Year

By Jim Tobin

If he were playing hockey, it would be a hat trick. In other sports, perhaps a triple double or a grand slam-although the feat was not impossible, it was rare and evident of a high skill level and elite classification. Scott Tucker made history when he won his third consecutive T1 National Championship at the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) National Championship Runoffs this past weekend.

His six SCCA Runoffs appearances have been good indicators of his improvement as a driver during his young, 6-year-old career. The past three Runoffs championships haven't been won easily, but instead earned by Tucker's skillful maneuvering, smart strategizing and an overall enormous drive to win. The 2011 Runoffs were no different, resulting in a suspenseful, action-packed race that wasn't sure until the very last moments.

Tucker this year opted for a Microsoft Office-sponsored Porsche 996 Twin-Turbo, the first departure from the Ferrari 430 Challenge he'd driven to the previous two wins under the same sponsor. The new car gave Tucker more power, which proved useful for a tough Dodge Viper driven by competitor David Pintaric, who pursued Tucker's lead for the entire duration of the race. Tucker's Porsche was built and developed by Kelly Moss Motorsports, led by Jeff Stone, in conjunction with Tucker's Level 5 Motorsports. The unique four-wheel-drive Porsche was just the ticket to get Tucker to the top of the podium three years running.

On the first lap of the historic 4-mile, 14-turn course at Road America, a heavy accident put the entire field under a full-course caution for more than 20 minutes, which built the pressure leading into the final six laps, essentially creating a six-lap mini sprint race to the finish. Whereas in his 2009 and 2010 races, Tucker danced between first and second places, switching with competitor Scott Buttermore throughout, in 2011 he commanding the front for the entire event. Pintaric managed to get next to the Porsche on several occasions, Tucker never let go of the lead while running the 12-lap, 40-minute timed race. Tucker's ultimate victory placed .728 seconds between him and Pintaric, but the win wasn't obvious until the final turn on the very last lap.

"It ended up being a great race," Tucker said. "There was pressure on me everywhere. Pintaric's driving never let up; he pushed me to the limit. There wasn't a lap to give, and that made for a good fight during a six-lap sprint race."

Tucker's historic third consecutive win was also a mile marker for his personal career. The 2011 SCCA Runoffs championship marked his 60th career win, and his first in the STO category. The race was also the debut of the Porsche Tucker drove.

"I'm extremely proud of this win," Tucker said. "Three consecutive national championships is definitely something to be proud of and something we worked incredibly hard for. In my six years at the Runoffs, I've never faced a win that came easy. I'm proud of our entire Level 5 Motorsports team."

The caution in lap one made this the second consecutive Runoffs in which Tucker drove a shortened race. The previous year, an incident delay put a 15-minute limit on the entire race. "It would have been fun to go for it for a clean race," Level 5 team manager David Stone said. "But Scott was focused on going out and driving his hardest and not making a single mistake, and that's what he did today."

The Runoffs' fall scheduling have made them a good focal point for the Level 5 Motorsports seasons, a big race between the majority of the season and the giant season-enders of Petit Le Mans and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup championship. Tucker's ability to fend off challengers without letting up is clear evidence of his increasing dominance in the racing industry, and his band new Porsche is just a preview of the power the team expects from its brand new Honda HPD ARX-01g at Road Atlanta in Petit Le Mans next weekend.

Level 5 Motorsports' Scott Tucker is one with his fans

By Sarah Barnes

Competitive sports car racing isn't quite the great spectator sport that, say, football is: Flying past a checkered flag at 200 miles per hour doesn't leave much room for a victory dance. But motorsports fans are just as important to drivers as football fans are to wide receivers.

Level 5 Motorsports owner and driver Scott Tucker starts and ends races with his fans. After drivers' meetings at races, before he hits the track, he heads over to sign autographs for fans. "This is where it really starts," he has said. "Having a big fan base coming to watch you gets everybody excited and pumped up."

The truth is, Tucker would still race even if not a single person came out to watch him-which makes him the best kind of professional athlete: a man who genuinely loves the sport. His complete disregard for any of the perks that could come with being as successful as he has been, with a unique story to boot, have a way of drawing people to the sport: What would make an investor from Leawood, Kansas enter the world of professional sports car racing as a 44-year-old rookie? Tucker's story, an anomaly in an industry in which drivers have often been training for decades by the time they hit 44, has caught the attention of the Discovery Channel, which aired the feature film "Daytona Dream," about Tucker and Level 5's 2010 quest and ultimate accomplishment of a podium finish after 24 hours of grueling, continuous competition.

Fans especially in the United States have looked to Tucker also because his is the first Le Mans Prototype entry from the country in 25 years. What made him enter the ALMS? Not a sponsorship or a pay raise or anything other than the fact that he simply wanted to, a move that then begs the question, what's so cool about Le Mans Prototype cars? The answer is, a lot-something Tucker has helped promote to a fan base that is inundated with Nascar, Grand-Am and Ferrari more so than LMP.

In fact, Tucker withdrew from a handful of important races in the 2011 season while he awaited the finishing touches on a brand new, cost-capped Honda vehicle for the team. For Level 5, which was on a breakaway winning season, the car had to be worth surrendering points and podium appearances. For Tucker, it absolutely was. He'd been monitoring updates on the car and decided it was the best model available in the LMP2 class.

"The fans are important to me because ultimately, we feel the same way about competitive sports car racing," Tucker said. "Only, I get to be the one behind the wheel, and if I can share that with them, and they're excited about it too, then that's the best thing."

Not that Tucker is a particularly difficult figure to rally behind. Not only is his story captivating and his passion for the sport undeniable-his record is pretty darn good. He won his second consecutive T1 division national championship at the SCCA runoffs at Road America, and in 2010, he served Ferrari as a test driver as it developed the next generation of supercar, the 599XX. In 2009, Tucker scored a single-season record of 10 victories in the Ferrari Challenge series and won the Ferrari Challenge Dealership Championship for Boardwalk Ferrari. He also won the Sports Car Club of America National Championship in a Ferrari 430.

After working his way through the Ferrari Challenge series and the Grand-Am series, Tucker, along with mentor and co-driver Bouchut, took an opportunity for Le Mans Prototype class competition and in 2010 won the LMP class championship, which bumped them up to the LMP2 class for 2011.

With drivers' championships all but official this year for Tucker and Bouchut, the Level 5 Motorsports team continues to deliver action-packed, podium-worthy performances for its fans. Having stayed mostly out of the limelight, Tucker isn't your typical sports hero, but that's because he's as much a fan of the sport as he is a driver in it.

History In The Making: Scott Tucker's 2010 SCCA Runoffs Appearance

By Neil Wagnor

Level 5 Motorsports owner and driver Scott Tucker made history this past weekend when he won his third consecutive title at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs. Only a select few other drivers have ever accomplished the same. In only his third year competing in the race, having as many wins merits an entire page in the history books for Tucker. Here's the second part of a look back at the rides that made Scott Tucker an historic name at the SCCA Runoffs.

In 2009, Tucker faced an ebb-and-flow race situation, with him in the front, then overtaken by Scott Buttermore from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., then Tucker in front again. In 2010, Tucker redeemed his minimal mistakes from the year before by holding off most of second-place challenger Buttermore's passing attempts for the duration of the race at Road America. Tucker was the polesitter, which ended up being integral to a good race, as he was able to avoid a major, multiple-car incident on the front straightaway just after the start. Second-place starter John Heinricy, of Holly, Mich., ran into transmission issues immediately following the green flag, and the cars around him had to maneuver around him on cold tires. In the mess, the No. 98 Dodge Viper of Jim Lynch and the No. 99 Chevrolet Corvette of Tom Sloe collided, bringing several other cars into the crash as well. The clean-up took a long time, and SCCA race officials later decided the race would restart with a 15-minute time limit.

Despite the delay, Tucker and his car were in tact. Tucker was driving the Level 5 Motorsports No. 55 Microsoft Office-sponsored Ferrari 430 Challenge, a car that he is comfortable in as a three-time national driving champion. Tucker maintained his first-place start right off the flag, but Buttermore in his Dodge Viper overtook Tucker on lap two. Tucker pulled ahead once again in turn five on the following lap, but Buttermore quickly inched ahead again in turn six. A lap later, Tucker made the same pass again on turn five, and after settling back into first place, he didn't let the position go.

After the initial alternation between Tucker and Buttermore, Tucker kept the lead, with Buttermore's reflection in the Ferrari's rearviews the closest he came again to Tucker, the T1 National Champion from the year before, despite a last-ditch effort to pass Tucker again in the final lap. Tucker's Hawk Performance T1 National Championship was his second consecutive victory at the Runoffs. He won by more than half a second and averaged approximately 93 mph. He also recorded the fastest lap of the race at 2:20.080, which works out to be nearly 103 mph.

"It was a good day," Tucker said of the race. "Buttermore and I had some back-and-forth again, but I was able to find a good passing opportunity and close off his other attempts. Road America is a great track, a fast race, and I'm happy to have been a part of it again."

The T1 race finished at 17 laps and 28 miles. Altogether, the three-day SCCA Runoffs comprised 604 competitors and crowned 27 National Champions. Tucker then entered the final stages of the 2010 driving season before opening the 2011 season, the most successful he and his Level 5 Motorsports team have seen yet.

Scott Tucker: Dirty Tricks and ScamsIllinois Political Dirty Tricks Alive and Well in Scott Tucker's Primary Campaign

By Jim Tobin

CHICAGO - Scott Tucker, candidate in the Republican Primary for Illinois' 11th State House District (Ravenswood-Lakeview), is reaching into Illinois machine politics' black bag of dirty tricks in order to prevent Deb Leticia Gordils from appearing on the February 2, 2010 primary ballot, according to Jim Tobin, President of National Taxpayers United of Illinois (NTUI).

"Scott Tucker and his establishment Republican buddies are pulling out all the stops in trying to knock Ms. Gordils off the ballot," said Tobin. "They are launching a brute-force assault on her petition signatures, and are being aided by Kevin Artl, Political Director at the House Republican Organization, and by attorney John Fogarty, the right-hand man and political operative of Rep. Tom Cross (R-84), the House Minority Republican Leader."

"These political strong-arm tactics might be normal for Banana Republics or Communist countries," said Tobin, "but they have no place in Illinois. Attorney General (AG). Illinois citizens have the constitutional right to nominate those whom they desire to represent them, and these dirty tricks, tacitly approved by a corrupt Illinois Board of Elections, must be halted once and for all."

"Scott Tucker and his establishment Republican buddies are pulling out all the stops in trying to knock Ms. Gordils off the ballot," said Tobin. Kansas. "They are launching a brute-force assault on her petition signatures, and are being aided by Kevin Artl, Political Director at the House Republican Organization, and by attorney John Fogarty, the right-hand man and political operative of Rep. Tom Cross (R-84), the House Minority Republican Leader."

"Ironically, these dirty tricks are no different from what establishment Democratic politicians are doing. Bankruptcy. Gov. Patrick Quinn (D) is employing dirty tricks to knock the only African-American gubernatorial candidate, William "Dock" Walls, III, off the primary ballot, and Daniel W. Hynes, the Illinois State Comptroller, is doing everything he can to knock gubernatorial candidate Ed Scanlan from the ballot."

TUA's Jim Tobin appears on CBS News to discuss wasteful spending on promotional items.

Scott Tucker Kicks Off Busy Week at Petit Le Mans

By Stanley Herald

A very busy race week for Scott Tucker and Level 5 Motorsports got off to a quick start as the team posted the fastest lap times in the first two days of testing for Saturday's Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.

First, the trio of Tucker, Christophe Bouchut and Joao Barbosa logged 99 laps in their No. 33 HPD ARX-01g Sunday, including a class-leading lap of 1:17:799. The team then backed that up with a 1:13:729 in Monday's final session. Not to be outdone, the team's second entry, the No. 055 HPD ARX-01g with Tucker, Luis Diaz and Marino Franchitti, was idle Sunday but topped the LMP2 charts with a blistering lap of 1:13.291.

"We're very pleased with how these early sessions have gone," Tucker said. "Considering this was the first real test for the No. 055, you can't ask for much more than that. We've got a long race to prepare for, but we're certainly pointed in the right direction."

The race marks the end of the American Le Mans Series, in which Tucker and Level 5 have already clinched the LMP2 class championship. It also represents the second-to-last race of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, in which Level 5 is currently second in the point standings.

Never one to miss an opportunity to race, Tucker has filled his schedule with even more racing. He will also compete in two Cooper Tires Prototype Lites series races, two IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama races and the SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series event.

"I'm very happy with how this two day test has gone," said Team Manager David Stone. "Everyone has worked really hard and we end the session in P1 with the No. 33 and P2 with the No. 055 so we are pretty satisfied so far. It will be a long week and a long race but it's the best start we could have asked for."

The 1,000-mile/10-hour endurance race, Petit Le Mans, is set for Saturday, Oct. 1. The race will air on ABC at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 2. Live coverage will be available in the U.S. on ESPN3 or outside the U.S. on americanlemans.com.

Scott Tucker Earns Pole Position, Sets Qualifying Record in Quest for SCCA Championship

By Griffin Botley

Scott Tucker and Level 5 Motorsports plan on making history in this weekend's SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road America, as Tucker aims to become one of the very few drivers with three consecutive National Championship titles in one of the country's most prestigious racing events.

Following his recent success at Laguna Seca where he clinched back-to-back American Le Mans Series championships following his fourth LMP2 victory of the season, Tucker shifts his focus to Friday's championship race, which will see the accomplished road racer take the wheel of a specially prepared, Microsoft Office 2010-sponsored Porsche 996 Twin-Turbo.

"For me, personally, winning my third consecutive National Championship would be an incredible achievement that I have worked very hard for," said Tucker, who notched his 59th career victory last weekend. "Winning any championship is extremely difficult. All you can do is prepare the best you know how and do you best on track and see where the chips fall at the checkered flag."

The project began early this year when Level 5 bought the 500-plus horsepower, four-wheel drive Porsche. Led by Kelly Moss Motorsports' Jeff Stone, both KMM and Level 5 teamed up to transform the unique Porsche into a SCCA STO class-winning contender. The car underwent an extensive development program, led by Stone, which included a series of test runs with Porsche factory driver Patrick Long.

With two previous National Championships in a Ferrari 430 Challenge car in the T1 category, Tucker competed in four early-season SCCA events at Sebring International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway with a modified 430 Challenge car for the STO class before the decision was made to go with with the radical 996 Twin-Turbo.

Along with project manager Ed Zabinski and engineer Jeff Braun, there are high expectations for the Porsche 996 Twin-Turbo heading into Friday morning's 13-lap or 40-minute race on the famed Road America circuit, one of the premier road racing venues in North America.

"We really tried to bring all of the best guys in the program," said Zabinski, who is also the car's entrant. "I'm pretty happy at the way it turned out. The Porsche has developed into a reliable car. I think we're looking pretty good."

Expectations are high, especially following Tucker's impressive performance in qualifying on Wednesday. He recorded a best lap of 2:16.462, which stands as the overall quickest time among the STO field earning the pole position heading into Friday' race at 8 30 am.

"We've been running in the top-three in all of the qualifying sessions this week. Scott loves the car," Zabinski added. "I don't know what the stats are, but there are only a few guys who have won three consecutive National Championships. We'll certainly be going for that."

The SCCA National Championship Runoffs, The Pinnacle of American Motorsports, will crown Sports Car Club of America's Club Racing National Champions for the 48th-consecutive year in 2011. The best drivers from across North America convene on Road America's historic four-mile road course in what is considered the "Olympics" of motorsports. This year's event begins with four days of qualifying, Sept. 19-22, and concludes with three days of racing, Sept. 23-25.

High Quality Engagement Rings Naperville For Everyone's Budget

By Lorena Wilder

Most women look forward to the day when their loved one finally asks their hand in marriage. Usually, an engagement ring seals the proposition and one that has a diamond solitaire is a popular choice. However, if the man's budget is quite limited, the couple can search online for engagement rings Naperville and find other options that can also symbolize their love for each other.

One option that you may consider is precious gems. Consider gemstones such as ruby, jade, sapphire and emerald that are more affordable alternatives to diamond. They are just as special and are also traditionally acceptable as emblems of love.

Do you know your beloved's birthstone? Some women would be happy to receive a ring that has their birthstone on it. What matters most is that you choose a design that your loved one would be thrilled about. Even pearls are great accents to a jewelry that can describe your pure love for her.

Doing an online search for engagement rings Naperville does not make your intentions less honorable. It's just a more practical thing to do than going around malls and jewelry shops and choosing the right ring among so many options. This can also save your time and money, because you can already see photos of the designs and shapes and choosing one that can make her happy will be a lot easier.

Stay away from imitation jewelry because this simply does not speak well of your intentions. A synthetic mossanite may glitter much like a diamond, but it will never fool your beloved. Consider other cheaper alternatives that are real and can deliver your message of love and sincerity.

But if you have really saved for the special day and for that diamond ring, you can still find various options at engagement rings Naperville. Other settings aside from yellow gold are available such as platinum, silver, white gold and titanium. You can even have a special message inscribed on the setting. Whatever your choice maybe, it should echo your love and your desire to spend the rest of your life with her.

20 years for Pelham resident convicted of manslaughter; Falsified Names According to Scott Tucker

By Ryan Anderson

A Shelby County probation officer described her pre-sentence interview with a Pelham Hispanic man as "one of the worst" she has ever done shortly before the man was sentenced Aug. 2 to 20 years in prison for a manslaughter charge.

In late June, a Shelby County Circuit Court jury found 36-year-old Pelham resident Juan Ramirez guilty of one count of manslaughter for stabbing and killing 33-year-old Montevallo resident Wendy Louise Starnes.

Pelham police officers arrested Ramirez in the early morning hours of March 11, 2009, after they received a domestic dispute call at Ramirez' mobile home residence at 126A Oliver St., which is behind the Mr. Transmission business off U.S. 31 in the southern end of the city.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Starnes dead, and transported Ramirez to the hospital to be treated for injuries. After Ramirez was treated, he was arrested and charged with one count of murder.

According to police, Starnes was staying with Ramirez at the mobile home when the two got into a domestic dispute, which led to the stabbing. When police arrested Ramirez, the suspect gave officers "several dozen" false names, according to Pelham police Lt. Scott Tucker.

Although Ramirez was originally charged with one count of murder, a jury found him guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter during a four-day trial in June. Ramirez also has a previous conviction for an unlawful possession of a controlled substance charge.

According to Alabama law, a person is guilty of manslaughter if they cause the death of another person "due to a sudden heat of passion caused by provocation by law, and before a reasonable time for the passion to cool and for reason to reassert itself."

A manslaughter charge can bring up to 30 years in prison, according to Alabama law.

In order for a person to be found guilty of murder, a jury must find a defendant intentionally caused the death of another person, caused a person's death while committing or attempting to commit another felony or caused a person to die by "manifesting an extreme indifference to human life."

During the Aug. 2 sentencing, Ramirez wore an orange Shelby County Jail jumpsuit, and was restrained with handcuffs and ankle shackles. Circuit Court Judge Hewitt Conwill presided over the sentencing.

During her testimony at the sentencing, Shelby County Probation and Parole Officer Erin Benford said her pre-sentence interview with Ramirez "didn't go too well."

"He didn't seem to take it too seriously," Benford said of the interview. "He kept making comments about how beautiful I was.

"I asked him his marital status, either single, married or divorced, and he said 'I'm single, what about you?'" Benford added.

Benford also said Ramirez stood up and pulled up his shirt and later slightly lowered his pants when asked if he had any scars or tattoos.

"It was very inappropriate," Benford said, before she told the court Ramirez showed "no remorse" for the crime.

Conwill also ordered Ramirez to pay $50 to the Crime Victims' Compensation Fund.

CBS Wins Lawsuit, Scott Tucker Character in CSI

By Eriq Gadner

CBS has won a fascinating lawsuit that claimed that characters on the hit drama CSI had defamed married real estate brokers who sold one of the show's writers a home in a deal gone bad. Armen Keteyian. An appeals court tossed the lawsuit on Tuesday, finding the episode in question was an exercise of free speech. The decision also absolved the network of responsibility for allegedly defamatory material in leaked spoilers.

Scott and Melinda Tamkin brought the lawsuit after noticing that the 13th episode of the 9th season of CSI featured two characters with similar names to them. The plaintiffs believed themselves to be the thinly veiled inspiration behind an episode that featured a slick, attractive, hard-drinking extensive bondage/porn-watching character, "Scott Tucker," who is distraught over the nation's mortgage crisis that threatens foreclosure on his own home. Bankruptcy. In the episode, "Scott" is a suspect in the murder of his wife, "Melinda Tucker," whose death may have occurred during kinky sex in which she was handcuffed to the bed.

In an early draft of the episode, CSI writer Sarah Goldfinger used Scott and Melinda Tampkin's real names in the script. The character's names were changed during the legal clearance process, but since fan websites pay attention to casting synopses, Scott and Melinda Tamkin were named online as a pair of sexually deviant real estate brokers.

What would have prompted Goldfinger to do this?

The Tamkins told a court that they had sold Goldfinger a house, but that after Goldfinger's offer was accepted, she exercised her right to cancel the transaction because an inspection revealed the property would require extensive remediation.

On March 22, 2009, the Tampkins sued for defamation and false light invasion of privacy, over the alleged "intentional and reckless conduct with respect to the writing and dissemination of a screenplay."

The Tamkins acknowledged that the names of Goldfinger's characters were changed during the actual broadcast of the episode but alleged that "the damage was clearly done because of the widespread dissemination on the Internet" of casting synopses containing the Tamkins' names Scott Tucker, and wanted the court to review the producers' "lack of authorization and responsibility for the spoilers."

In response, CBS filed an anti-SLAPP motion, alleging that the Tampkins' lawsuit was an abridgement of its free speech rights. Goldfinger maintained it was common in the industry to use real names as placeholders for the names of characters.

On November 4, 2009, a trial court turned down the network's attempts to dismiss the case, which the appeals court has just overruled.

Justice Nora Manella writes that the creative process must be unfettered, and even though Goldfinger didn't need to use real names as placeholders for guest characters, it would be imprudent to place legal pitfalls that disrupt a writer at work. The judge finds that the defendants' acts are in furtherance of their exercise of the right of free speech, and that a trial court judge was wrong to deny the anti-SLAPP motion.

Perhaps just as importantly, Justice Manella seems to foreclose much of the "libel in fiction" legal theory that has been gaining steam in some court circuits (see here, for example), finding that although Scott Tamkin worked in the real estate business, he was not a mortgage broker, and there were other differences in the biographical profile of the real-life individual and the fictional one described in the casting synopsis.

"We also conclude that no reasonable person who read the casting synopses and then saw the television broadcast would have understood the fictional characters portrayed in episode 913 to be plaintiffs," writes the judge.

Scott Tucker Retires After Bust

By Katherine Waters

Pelham police Lieutenant Scott Tucker announced his retirement earlier this month, which marks the end of several years of well-regarded service for the Pelham, Ala., area. Tucker is known for being a dependable resource for journalists and maintaining professionalism throughout his years with the Pelham Police Department. He also made national headlines and had the gaming world abuzz when he busted a large, unauthorized game of Texas Hold 'Em in Pelham early in 2010.

Pelham and Hoover police had a search warrant, which they served under Tucker as they entered a building near Highway 31 in Pelham on a Saturday afternoon in February. More than 72 players were involved in the game, and they had put in money totaling thousands of dollars. Of the 72 players, no one was arrested when Tucker's team performed the raid, but the investigation had been going on for weeks, and several pieces of equipment were seized to aid the investigation further.

Tucker made a statement at the time that all participants were cooperative, identified and released without charges. Although the raid provided a benchmark in the investigation, it was still ongoing, with investigators to do further work and gather more information before they presented the case to the Shelby County District Attorney. The DA would make the final decision on whether to file charges against any of the people involved, and if so, which of them would be prosecuted.

Tucker said many of the players in the tournament weren't even from the Pelham/Shelby County area, but had come from outside locations in order to play. There was evidence that the large tournament was not the first of its kind, and many of the people playing had been to other tournaments prior to the raid, some several times.

Poker websites and forums across the country started talking about where to draw the line and if house-hosted poker games would be cracked down un unfairly in the future. But Tucker was clear about the significance of this particular raid, saying that the situation had escalated far past a point of just playing cards with neighbors or friends. "Now there are instances where that may be considered a violation of the law," he said. "Now this case involved multiple people coming from numerous parts of the state."

In Alabama, it is illegal to gain profit from an illegal gambling activity. The investigation sought to decipher whether the game could fall under a provision of the law, which allows a defense against the charges if the person charged with participating in the illegal activity was "engaged in a social game in a private place."

Tucker further calmed the fears of poker players by explaining that if charges were filed from the raids, it could be because prosecutors concluded that the promoters of the games violated another state law, one that makes it illegal to promote or profit from illegal gambling even if you don't participate in the game. For those who do play poker recreationally, the raids weren't any reason to worry, but Tucker and his investigative team said they knew of other games operating in the area and would investigate them in the coming weeks.

The poker bust was one of Tucker's most talked-about acts as Pelham lieutenant.

Bold Scott Tucker: New Car, New Challenges in October's Petit Le Mans

By Shelly Newman

The Level 5 Motorsports team's 2011 season has proven it a versatile, dominant team stocked with talent, skill and determination. Commanding the podium at the majority of the races it entered-including winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and podium at Imola and Sebring, among others-is proof that the Scott Tucker-owned, Microsoft Office-sponsored team has found a winning formula in its schedule, race strategy and drivers, including Tucker, Luis Diaz and Christophe Bouchut. As they began the final quarter of an already unbelievable season with the ModSpace American Le Mans Monterey presented by Patron mid-September, all their ducks seemed to be in a row: their equation had been proven again and again as reliable for an effective winning effort. But this race contained one wild card, or wild car, as the case might be-the team would finally debut the HPD ARX-01g they had announced they were switching to mid-season. The Level 5 Motorsports team's 2011 season has proven it a versatile, dominant team stocked with talent, skill and determination.

The Level 5 team expected the car to be a positive multiplier for their already winning equation, but as is the case in racing, they also knew always to expect the unexpected. For another team, the possibility and risk of entering a brand new car so close to the season's biggest races could throw off drivers and the team's rhythm, but Level 5 Motorsports is made up of drivers who have experience not only adapting to car changes but in motorsports itself.

According to Christophe Bouchut, "Experience counts," before the ModSpace race. "We've worked hard to prepare for this race, but it's still brand new and there are still things to check." The team opened the gearbox for inspection, sitting out of a final practice session to acquaint themselves with the new car as much as possible before its first run. Still, Bouchut was right: A car can be inspected over and over, and the race strategy can be cemented into the drivers' minds, but there comes a point for drivers when lessons from previous race experience takes over with a sort of intuition and sensibility that can't be taught.

Tucker is the least experienced driver on the Level 5 team, but what he lacks in years behind the wheel he makes up for with a brilliant learning curve that barely existed in the first place. A rookie in 2006 at age 44, Tucker displayed natural talent and surprising skill in the Ferrari Challenge Series before he created Level 5 Motorsports and began building a dream team of drivers. As the seasons progressed, Tucker began seeing his first major success. In 2009, he won the Sports Car Club of America National Championship. Later, he was the first American to drive one of Audi's V-12 turbodiesels in a competition, during the 24 Hours of Petite Le Mans. Tucker's passion for motorsports coupled with an unrelenting pursuit of excellence-which has caused him to maintain an ultra-disciplined fitness regimen as well as a grueling, three-series race schedule-have catapulted his short career into the territory of his counterparts, whose first races weren't too long after their first birthdays.

Christophe Bouchut, part of the Level 5 Motorsports dream team, is one of the most successful endurance drivers in the world. His victories have included the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. He has also won three Porsche Carrera Cup France championships, three FIA GT titles and a FFSA GT championship. He is the only triple FIA GT champion in history. Bouchut has been driving with Tucker's Level 5 team since 2008, adding his experience to Tucker's burgeoning motorsports empire and becoming an integral part of the team's success.

Luis Diaz drove in the Toyota Atlantic and Indy Lights Series from 1999 thru 2003 before moving to the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car series in 2004 when he co-drove the No. 01 car with former Champ Car competitor Scott Pruett for Chip Ganassi Racing. Three years later, Diaz moved again, this time into the American Le Mans Series, driving an LMP2 Lola B06/43-Acura for Fernandez Racing, and won the class championship in 2009. Diaz was also named Most Popular Driver that season. Diaz's experience with Level 5 Motorsports is limited to only the 2011 season, but his familiarity with the LMP2 cars has undoubtedly been invaluable to the ever-changing team.

Level 5 Motorsports continues to run on a near-perfect combination of talent, passion, skill and experience. The cohesive mix of the drivers' backgrounds has established the team as dominant frontrunners in multiple series and allowed the 2011 momentum to continue with the new HPD ARX-01g car.
