How to Measure Wedding Dresses for the Beautiful Brides?

By Miracle Pan

Question: I don't want to be cheap, nor over the top. I have never been in a wedding, so I have experience to draw from. So far, I got them a jewelry set (necklace, earrings and bracelet) they are cute, but not terribly expensive. I am also arranging for a Home spa pampering session. Kind of like a home party without the selling. I'll just be buying them a set of pampering items like body lotion and bath scrub or something like that. Is that enough? Should I add something else? I also let them pick their own style of dress that fit their taste and budget.

Answer: Save yourself some time and the hassle of having to send those pictures. Every bride that I have spoken with wants to save money by ordering online which who can blame them. The problem isn't the poor bride who is just trying to get a dress they fell in love with and then wanted to save money in the process. The problem is all those websites who are taking advantage of the overwhelming emotions associated with purchasing that dress!

Sounds like when you tried the dress on it was from the designer and the website you ended up ordering from was just a website that makes fake substitutes. I can say that because I actually work directly with a manufacturer who makes designer replicas and they do not have a website. I ordered a size 8 dress for my store and it was a size 8 just like the designer Alfred Angelo's dress that I had in my boutique.

I think the gifts you have gotten for them already are very nice and not over the top. Nor are they not enough. If you feel as though you need to do more, then I would say do something heartfelt, like a picture with you and each of your bridesmaids, have it frames with a matted and on the matter, add a nice poem or a quote that describes your relationship with that person. This should not cost too much money.

Was that the episode with the girl from Miami with the blond hair who wanted a dress that her daughter would look at in 10 years and say "Mom, what were you thinking?" That dress (with all the crystals) was 8500, I believe. Also, occasion does make a difference. You can wear a bathing suit in front of your grandmother at the pool, but not in the mall. I would have to say that this dress would offend the most moderate of parents.
