Question: Me and my fianc boyfriend trying to get married in November. We are not rich and need to find a cheap way to have a wedding but be beautiful at the same time. We want to have it by or on the beach. And don't want to spend thousands of dollars. I know it's customary for the bride to buy the bridesmaid dresses and all those other spectacular things but we simply don't have it made like that. Is it wrong that I told my bridesmaids they have to buy their own dresses? And is it wrong that I told them I want them to dye their hair a regular color if their hair is an outrageous color? Everyone is trying to tell me to just get married at the courthouse or in Vegas because it's cheap. But I promised myself I won't settle for that and refuse to compromise.
Answer: Also bridesmaids almost always pay for their own dresses. So that is not unreasonable unless you pick a dress out of their price range, which as a cost conscious bride I'm sure you won't. It is also not unreasonable to want them to have natural colored hair, it is too much however to dictate what color and or length.
You want a beautiful wedding! Times are tough at the moment...we all understand! We're all going through financial issues at the moment...oh, congrats on getting married! That is so cute! the best moment is when the bride first walks in and everyone admires the bride...at that moment, turn and see the grooms face...it's the face of true love :) ok sorry got a bit distracted.
a beach might be a bit hard because you would have to rent it out...so no other people can just crash it...you could try a forest preserve with a little cottage in it for the reception, or a elegant and homely touch with a backyard wedding (which always turn out adorable in my opinion) you can also try getting married on boats! Like gather up your friends who own boats and you urn hubby and the people in the wedding get in the same boat as you, and everyone else can follow!
I will tell you that if you are creative and can do allot of DIY stuff, do it because it will also help save money. I would just sit down and see what's important to me the most and go from there and see what can be done with your wishes for your wedding on a budget.
