Which Celebrities Have Large Families

By Tom Wilkins

A typical family in Canada or the United States has two children, but some celebrity dads and moms have gone above that number. Having a large family is not reserved for celebrity couples, but having plenty of money ensures children are well taken care of. Here are some celebrity families with large families.

Holly and Rodney Peete have 4 children, twins Ryan and Rodney, and Robinson, and Roman. Holy is a mother of an autistic son and has dedicated her life to finding emotional, financial, and medical support for children, and especially those who suffer from autism.

Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham have four children together, and this is not surprising given that the actor has eight brothers and sisters . They have two sons, Michael and Brendan, and two daughters Grace and Ella Rae. The actor shared that he wanted his children to avoid the world of show business, if possible, and get good education. He also wants his children to avoid tattoos and took them to a laser treatment procedure to remove his tattoos. He wanted them to learn how painful tattoo removal was.

Rich Schroder and his wife Andrea have been married for 20 years and have four children, Faith Anne, Cambrie, Luke, and Holden. Rick Schroder is a celebrity ambassador for the non-profit organization Childhelp. The organization helps victims of child abuse and neglect through advocacy, treatment, community outreach, and prevention.

The desire for a large family became a strong bond for Angelina Joilie and Brad Pitt. The couple has six children, the twins Knox and Vivienne, Shiloh, Zahara, Pax, and Maddox.

Kate Gosselin has 8 children - twin girls and sextuplets (3 boys and 3 girls). Jon & Kate plus 8 is a reality television series following the large family through their daily life. The series focused on the problems and challenges of having a large family. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have 19 children, and the couple says they would welcome another baby in the family.

There are many reasons why couples choose to have many children. Some grew up in a large family while others had no siblings. Religious beliefs play an important role, and some religions emphasize on the importance of having a large family. Some families are more relaxed while chaos is a taboo in others. Older children may be tasked with supervising and caring for younger children, and laundry, eating, and bathing takes place in shifts. What works best depends on the family, but it is not size or how it is organized that is most important. Having resources and time to meet the basic needs of each child and making them feel valued, supported, loved, and cared for is important. This means that parents are actively involved in the lives and education of their children.
