When Jessie J first broke through the charts with her debut hit Do It Like A Dude, we were all taken aback with her comical facial expressions, stand-out choice of wardrobe and bizarre lip accessories, but there's no denying that we all immediately thought she was brilliant.

Since then she has released four massive hit singles and an album that makes you want to turn up the volume. Her album charted in ten different countries and has gone platinum in the UK.

Jessie has made quite a few celebrity friends since getting so involved in the music industry; she went to BRIT school with Adele and even met Katy Perry in Australia, while performing. The two have apparently become close and Jessie has mentioned that she thinks Katy is very funny and super cool.

This singing phenomenon is just twenty three years old and is from East London. Originally a song writer for the likes of Miley Cyrus, she now regularly posts videos on Youtube for her fans so that they can enjoy listening to her sing live and even in the comfort of her own home, whilst in a Prince T-shirt and jogging bottoms! This is why we love Jessie J; she's not afraid to be herself and enjoy what she does and manages to inspire many individuals whilst doing so.

Jessie, having been bullied in school herself, is the perfect role model for teenagers going through the same ordeal. When recently sent an abusive message on twitter, Jessie replied with “and you, my darling, are a bully.” This shows us all that you Jessie are good through and through and we will continue to love you for it.

So lets all take a leaf out of Miss Jessie J's book and as she says “be true to who you are.”
