Current Trends On Display At Clothing Boutiques In Tampa

By Alba Durham

The catwalks that offered up the final fashions presented in 2012 set the stage for a new year of trends that are more spectacular than others offered during the past decade. September fashion weeks ended an exciting trend year by presenting something even better than what had come before. Clothing boutiques in Tampa quickly filled themselves up with the fashions that would dominate 2013.

The collections for summer 2013 are dominated by a style that is taken directly off the backs of the world's best indie rockers. Peter Doherty and similar musicians established the silver and black skinny jeans look that has now been adopted as a mainstream style. Studs and chains are worn against ebony washes. The style will be used in men's and women's wear.

Op and pop art have been brought back to life by fashions that allow trendy consumers to demonstrate their philosophies through their outfits. Pop art needs to be carried off with humor, so custom T shirts will be decorated by funny and ironic phrases. Fuzzy optics will be used to add a sense of fun to formal frocks.

In 2012, platforms reached heights that have not been as extreme since the Sixties. Whilst thick soles have not yet left ramps, they have been given a more classic style. Soles are slightly slimmer, and color blocks in candy floss hues are used on uppers. Stilettos have been brought back, allowing women to dress more elegantly.

Men's footwear has been a prime focus for creative designers. Whilst the past decade has only allowed women to wear soles that contrasted against their shoes, this year men are afforded the luxury too. Indigo and purple soles are worn with neutral uppers. To complete the outfit, grey on grey suits achieve multiple textures. A flash of brightness is achieved through bright red sneaker accents. More formal outfits are worn with rolled up hems, creating room to show off vivid red socks. Alternatively, hems are chopped off above the ankles.

Texture is an imperative part of this year's fashions. Minimalist styles are making use of white on white palettes that vary only according to their opacity. Sheer chiffon is stitched into opaque fabrics to achieve a sleek aesthetic for formal wear. Similarly, sections of lace are used to reveal a flash of skin through sheer sections.

The double denim look has always been one to avoid, but this year it will be fashionable to pair jeans with denim shirts. Lighter textures achieved through chambray help create a more wearable variation of the style. Those who prefer more contrast are donning shirts with powder blue prison stripes. The ring weaves and organic textures of Seventies denim have been recreated using today's innovative fabrication techniques.

The romantic Fifties Hollywood starlet is back in fashion, giving women the chance to dress more formally than they have been able to in recent years. Whilst lengthy hems were typical of that decade, modern fashionistas are wearing slits that end at the upper thigh, or hems that show off the whole leg. The most thrilling trends are available at clothing boutiques in Tampa.
