CBS Films released a new action movie titled "Faster" into theaters a couple months ago. I just got through checking it out,and thought it was great.
Johnson was very intense in it,and really pulled off some great scenes. I liked the way the storyline played out. It delivered a real great twist. It stars: Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Maggie Grace, Oliver Jackson-Cohen,and Moon Bloodgood.
"Faster" revolved around Driver (Johnson). Driver's backstory is revealed throughout the movie as he was on a mission to kill a group of people for payback after he got released from prison. Him and his brother got setup after robbing a bank. The people who set them up, ended up killing his brother,while he went to prison for 10 long years.
Driver gets released from prison,and wastes no time hunting down the first person that harmed him,and shoots him right in the head. The unknown man who was behind his setup, hires a hitman to take Driver out. Driver runs into the hitman a couple of times during the movie,and they get into one hell of a gunfight,along with a couple of good car chases.
The cops continued to hunt down Driver's trail in an effort to catch him. Eventually, Driver gets through his list of people to kill. However, he let one of them live because he turned his life around so dramatically. The movie ended with the hired hitman finally catching up to Driver to reveal a huge twist in the whole case.
They did a very good job disguising the twist until the end. It was quite ingenious. I just really thought the movie was excellent. I liked how it played out from beginning to end. There was never a boring moment throughout the film.
Dwayne Johnson's character Driver made it seem very interesting from the beginning because he always delivered an intense look that let you know he was going to do something very outrageous and crazy,and he did. I gave the movie a definite A grade.
