In earlier times rhinestones were cut from the shavings of cut crystals which were found in streams, and mines. They were very popular before the Crusades, in India; as the tailor for the king wanted to impress him, so he glued the rhinestones to all of the kings clothing. Rhinestones were also very popular during the Renaissance period among the wealthy.

Rhinestones are sparkly beautiful and extremely colorful little stones that are used to make beautiful patterns on any surface, be it a metal or a fabric. Nowadays, rhinestone fashion accessories are gaining huge popularity.
